>>604175 (OP) I like it think it makes you see a broader perspective on things. It's easy to get caught up in some emotional part, but to see beyond it and recognize the larger issues at hand is much more important. It doesn't mean you cant understand or appreciate how others feel. Hell you may even understand how more people feel because you're not caught up and distraught over it. Emotions lead to sloppy behavior, it's why all these safe space people are going to always be the worst.
>>604178 Its hard to tell, i didnt care much for other People before browsing dscuz too, but that didnt i can watch gore (and the sickest sadisctic kind of), childporn or other shit without even feeling bad. Since i am here for a while now, i reflected about this. Why should it be good to see this disturbing Stuff and dont even care anymore? I noticed a change too, now its even hard for me to feel sorry for anyone. My social life is hurt by this too, maybe different for everybody but i cant see advantages out of this, only how fucked up i got in this time, seeing the some of the worst stuff without even caring. That is no Human behaviour and cant be healthy.
I got here in 06, at what, 29yo, when it was a bunch of us graphic artists making idiotic shit for lulz. Now I'm fucking 41, and there are no lulz, no edginess, none of any of that old precious social butterfly shit, just a detached sense of looking forward to the destruction of this entire country and everyone in it & the patient hope that it will kick off with this drooling moron we've put in office in some way or another. The millenials were a mistake, and what little was positive & constructive in the 20th century has already fallen apart. So there's nothing left but to wait for the first shots to be fired, & then start burning this shitbox down.
>>604188 >and there are no lulz, no edginess, none of any of that old precious social butterfly shit, That's not you. That's just how bad this place has become. Can you imagine the bunch of morons who form the majority of the posters doing chanology? Or even outing the old lady that pit the cat in the wheelie bin?
d can desensitize you to images on d. The desensitization don't carry over into the real life experience of those images. Like those idiots who believe FPS games normalize gun violence. Penn and Teller brought a kid who loved shooters to the shooting range. He fired one shot from a real rifle and started to cry.
You can watch all the traps and gangbangs and beheadings you want. The real thing is very different.
